The version of NTFS for Mac that I have does not install on macOS 12 (Monterey) Help I am getting a system extension blocked message during installation. This is a 2018 (the most updated) program. How do I install Microsoft NTFS by Tuxera (video guide). Yet I had paid $60+ for this piece of buggy crap. Just wanted to add - Tuxera sucks too! I watched a file literally (sizewise) go to zero bytes when I changed its filename. The world isn't going to convert to HFS+ or whatever their newest file system is (which has caused me no end of hassles). It is quite similar to this one, but my system is 10.13, has APFS, and I never installed any NTFS read/write solutions like Paragon NTFS, Tuxera etc. Apple had better get down their high horse. The problem is more or less a cosmetic hassle, but I would prefer to have it solved because it can disturb later repair operations.
There are simply too many NTFS files around. Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software is an essential installation. Yeah, right! If Apple doesn't come out with their own ability to read/write NTFS drives, I'm moving back to Microsoft. If you have decided to update to High Sierra but have yet to doIm trying to use. Oh, here's a typical response from my email: What a fricking nightmare! And support expects you to send them all sorts of generated system files in order to get a response! Temporarily setting an external drive to "read only" permanently makes that drive read only unless you want to delete and reinstall the driver, or mess with fstab.
The product expects you to shell out more money every couple of years.
